بعد 14 عاما من بقاءه في كرسي الرئاسة .. تمت إقالة رئيس اللجنة الأولمبية العراقية رعد حمودي من منصبه…

هكذا هي لعبة الديمقراطية التي برع في إتقانها حمودي ، محققة  له مجدا يضاف لأمجاده السابقة حينماكان حارسا لمنتخبنا الوطني ..لكنه وبعد كل تلك السنين لن يتمكن من التصدي لكرات الهيئة العامة التيسددت إلى مرماه وكان عددها ٢٥ صوتا  من أعضاء الهيئة العامة الذين صوتوا بالضد من بقاءه في منصبهخلال مباراة ديمقراطية استثنائية جعلته يترك مرماه غير مأسوفا عليه  ، قبل أن يواجه   اتهامات تتعلقبخروقات مالية حاول نكرانها داخل الاجتماع ، مثلما حاول الاحتجاج  على مقترح حجب الثقة عنه..

ليتولى نائبه الأول الدكتور عقيل مفتن مهمة الرئاسة ، إلى حين العاشر من شهر شباط في العام القادمحسب ما حددته الهيئة العامة ليتم حينها انتخاب رئيس جديد للجنة، بعد وصول موافقة اللجنة الأولمبيةالدولية على هذه الاجراءات
