أكثر من 500 مثقف عربي يطالبون بفتح تحقيق ضد جرائم الاحتلال

طالب عدد من الصحفيين والناشطين المدنيين والمدافعين عن حقوق الإنسان، بتشكيل لجنة دولية للتحقيق في جرائم الاحتلال الإسرائيلي بحق الصحفيين وأسرهم في الأراضي الفلسطينية المحتلة، التي زادت وتيرتها مع عدوان جيش الاحتلال الأخير على قطاع غزة.

ووقع 508 صحفيين وأكاديميين وباحثين ومدافعين عن حقوق الإنسان من مختلف الدول العربية، عريضة تطالب مفوض الأمم المتحدة السامي لحقوق الإنسان، ورئيس قسم الشرق الأوسط وشمال إفريقيا في المفوضية، والمقرر الخاص المعني بحرية الرأي والتعبير، والمقرر الخاص المعني بحالة حقوق الإنسان في الأراضي الفلسطينية المحتلة منذ العام 1967، بتشكيل لجنة تحقيق في جرائم الاحتلال بحق الصحفيين الفلسطينيين وأسرهم.

وقال الموقعون، إن مطالبتهم بفتح هذا التحقيق، إنما هي تعويل على ما تبقى في الضمير الإنساني من احترام لحرية الصحافة وحماية الصحفيين أثناء الحروب والنزاعات المسلحة.

وأكد الموقعون على العريضة، أن انتهاكات الاحتلال التي ترقى إلى جرائم الحرب والجرائم ضد الإنسانية، وانتهاك المواثيق والمعاهدات التي تحمي المدنيين خلال الحروب، استمرار لسياسة دولة الاحتلال التي تسحق كل يوم القانون الدولي الإنساني والقانون الدولي لحقوق الإنسان، ومعاهدات جنيف وبروتوكولاتها، ما يستوجب وقفة حقيقية لإيقاظ الضمير العالمي.

وطالب الموقعون على العريضة، المؤسسات والهيئات الدولية المعنية بحرية الصحافة وحرية الرأي والتعبير، بتشكيل لجنة تحقيق مستقلة، وإعلان نتائج عملها للرأي العام العالمي، وتفعيل دور مجلس حقوق الإنسان ومنظمة الأمم المتحدة للتربية والعلم والثقافة (يونسكو) ومفوض الأمم المتحدة السامي لحقوق الإنسان، في هذا المشهد الدولي العبثي الذي ترتدي فيه دول الشمال العالمي نظارات إسرائيلية لا ترى في ذبح الصحفيين وتكميم صوت الحقيقة أية جريمة تستوجب العقاب.
