وقال حسين في مؤتمر صحفي يوم الثلاثاء “بناء على الاتفاق بين الحكومة الإيرانية والحكومة العراقية تم اتخاذ الإجراءات اللازمة لإبعاد هذه المجاميع من المناطق الحدودية وتم إسكانهم في مخيمات بعيدة وفي عمق كردستان العراق”.
وأضاف أنه سيزور طهران يوم الأربعاء لتوصيل الرسالة بنفسه على أمل أن يحول ذلك دون أي تصاعد للوضع على الحدود.
وتتهم إيران منذ وقت طويل إقليم كردستان العراق الذي يحظى بحكم ذاتي بإيواء جماعات مسلحة ضالعة في هجمات ضدها، الأمر الذي دفع الحرس الثوري الإيراني بدوره إلى استهداف قواعد تلك الجماعات مرارا.
وقالت وزارة الخارجية الإيرانية في الشهر الماضي، إنه بموجب الاتفاق المبرم مع العراق، تلتزم بغداد بنزع سلاح جماعات المعارضة الكردية الإيرانية في إقليم كردستان العراق وإغلاق قواعدها ونقلها إلى مواقع أخرى قبل 19 سبتمبر أيلول.
وقال مسؤولون إيرانيون إنه إذا لم يتحقق المراد قبل الموعد النهائي، فسيكون بوسعهم استئناف الهجمات على الجماعات المنشقة داخل كردستان العراق والتي كانت طهران تشنها بانتظام حتى نهاية العام الماضي.
وفي سبتمبر أيلول 2022 أطلق الحرس الثوري الإيراني صواريخ وطائرات مسيرة على أهداف لجماعات مسلحة في إقليم كردستان العراق مما أسفر عن مقتل 13 شخصا بحسب ما ذكرته السلطات المحلية.
وقال حسين “سوف نتباحث مع الجانب الإيراني بعدم التهديد باستعمال العنف وعدم التهديد بقصف بعض المناطق في إقليم كردستان العراق
