أعلنت مجموعة “كلمات“ أكبر دار للنشر البارزة للكتب العربية في دولة الإمارات العربية المتحدة، شراكة استراتيجية جديدة في مجال النشر مع دار «بنغوينراندوم هاوس»، تستهدف زيادة نطاق الكتب المتاحة في الأسواق الدولية وترجمة الأدب العربي للقرّاء في كل مكان.
وتأتي هذه الشراكة بين المؤسستين الرائدتين تماشياً مع رؤيتهما المشتركة لاكتشاف المواهب الجديدة في مجال الكتابة والتأليف وتعزيز التنوع في الأدب، ونشر أعمال روائية لقائمة واسعة من المؤلفين في كلتا المؤسستين بهدف رفد القراء بمجموعة متنوعة من الكتب تساعدهم على تعزيز حب القراءة والاطلاع.
وبموجب الاتفاقية، ستقوم دار «بنغوين راندوم هاوس» من خلال فرعها في الهند بترجمة مجموعة من الأعمال الأدبية العربية المنشورة من قبل مجموعة «كلمات» إلى اللغة الإنجليزية وطرحها في الأسواق العالمية. وفي المقابل، ستقوم مجموعة «كلمات» بترجمة مجموعة عناوين مختارة من قائمة «بنغوين راندوم هاوس» إلى اللغة العربية؛ بهدف إتاحتها للقراء العرب في كل مكان.
وقالت المؤسسة والرئيسة التنفيذية لمجموعة «كلمات»، والرئيسة السابقة للاتحاد الدولي للناشرين الشيخة بدور القاسمي: «نحن سُعداء بهذه الشراكة مع واحد من أكبر الأسماء في مجال النشر العالمي في وقت يتزايد فيه الإقبال على الأعمال والترجمات العربية. ومن خلال عملنا معاً، يمكننا جذب جمهور جديد، وزيادة وصول مؤلفينا إلى نطاق أوسع، وإثراء مشهد النشر الدولي، بما يعود بالنفع على القراء في العديد من الأسواق.
