صرّح السيد مقتدى الصدر عبر حسابه الرسميّ بتويتر أنه لا ينبغي إستعمال الأراضي العراقية من شمالها الى جنوبها ومن شرقها الى غربها ساحة للصراعات السياسية والأمنية والعسكرية.
وأضاف الصدر:
ندين كل الأعمال التي تستهدف دول الجوار من داخل العراق.. فإننا ندين أي تدخل خارجي وأي قصف للأراضي العراقية ذات السيادة الكاملة. وعلى الجهات المختصة رفع مذكرة احتجاج للأمم المتحدة والسفير الإيراني فوراً.. مع أخذ ضمانات بعدم تكرارها مستقبلا.
وتابع الصدر:
إن زج العراق وتعريض سمائه وأرضه و (مقدساته) في تلك الصراعات سابقة خطيرة لا ينبغي السكوت عنها. وما يدعى بأن هناك مواقع اسرائيلية فيجب التحقيق فيها بأسرع وقت ممكن فلا يجب أن تستعمل حجة لزعزعة أمن العراق وشعبه.
